To welcome those with zero design experience, our beginner design teams offer various fundamental design workshops and spaces to grow through personal passion projects. Note: returning members cannot apply to Beginner Teams if they have been a part of any design team from previous semesters.
Our designers take on a variety of different kinds of requests to support the student and local community. We provide pro bono designs for flyers, banners, logos, and more for on-campus clubs. We also hold multiple workshops throughout the semester to build the skill sets of our members. Members will complete a personal project in addition to the team’s cumulative client project.
Our advanced designers take on paid branding projects from local businesses and startups. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is expected. Members will complete a personal project in addition to the team’s cumulative client project.
To welcome those with zero photography experience, our beginner team provides members with a ground-up experience learning from the basics of photography principles and film photography to eventually producing their own film photos to add to an analog self-crated zine.
We curate photowalks, studio shoots, and host educational workshops for our aspiring photographers to develop and explore their aesthetics through their own lens. Members will also gain real-world working experience by taking on client requests such as event photography, portraiture, or studio and product photography.
Our advanced photo team host photo shoots and design a zine based on a theme of their choice. Photographers will plan and execute shoots in line their individual creative direction and vision for their zine. This team is perfect for advanced photographers, art directors, and creatives looking to explore the intersection of photography, concept, design, and print. Client work opportunities will also be available for blue members to build their professional photography skills.
This is a team for beginners with little experience in web design & development. This semester, we will focus on UI/UX and web design principles. Members will learn skills like Figma, wire-framing, and learning tools like Webflow to create personal projects and further their introduction to the field.
Our teams of web developers help student groups solidify their online presence with a website. With our modern stack, we deliver robust, high-quality, and easily-maintainable sites that will be beautiful for years to come.
